FOR wins both race and championship at Portimao!!

GameRacer FlatOut Racing won the last STC race at Portimao after Mike Simian brought his Koenigsegg over the finish line and also lead the team to a third consecutive STC title.

It wasn't easy though as Simian, who started from pole, let a faster Marco Giuliato (Corse Online) pass him after 20 minutes. Simian then took the lead back after the pitstops. Giuliato also lost to Flying Dutchman Racing's Tyler Scurlock in the process but passed him a while later. After that he was playing catch up to Simian and with only five minutes to go he was right there, even brushing the paint scheme of the leader in a try to take the lead. Then came the big blow for the Italian as the leading group cought lapped traffic in the hands of Dinca Andrei (Water Blue Racing) with three laps to go. Confusion erupted and Giuliato and Andrei touched and Giuliato went off. After that he had to settle for 3rd.

Tyler Scurlock, who was lurking close behind the leaders took 2nd only a few tenths behind Simian. A fair bit behind the podium came Ben Tusting in the second FOR Koenigsegg. He finished in front of Robin Johansson, Gubbklubben. Robin and his team mate, Göran Johansson, both opted for a 2 stop strategy that didn't go as planned even though they knew it was a long shot. Gubbklubben still finished in a comfortable third in the standings. Göran finishing the race in 9th.

Jesper Taulborg had a pretty normal race with a few fights with Göran being one of them. He finished in a lonely 6th. Kevin Ledoux for The Black Rebels had a great race with lots of fighting, especially with Torrent Motorsports Matthias Klein. He finished 7th. Klein at the end just managed to stay clear of Göran Johansson and took 8th.

The start of the race saw a massive pile up right before the line involving seven cars where four drivers were unable to continue. Torrent Motorsports Kane Lasky was one of the involved and flipped several times. Gregory Degreef was another driver involved in the crash but managed to finish the race in 10th.

FOR takes dominant double win at Bahrain!

Gameracer FlatOut Racing dominated the second to last race of the season at a sunny Bahrain. Mike Simian took pole with teammate Mikko Korkiakoski two tenths behind and they were in a class of their own already there. When the race got underway they dissapeared into the horizon and could finish the race "Le Mans"-style - side by side. A result that saw them take maximum points.

Their main rivals for the title, Flying Dutchman Racing, had also a good race. Tyler Scurlock finished 3rd and Martijn van Bommel crossed the line in 5th. 18 points now seperated the two teams to FlatOuts favour going into the final round. In between the two FDR cars finished Daneil Beck for Gubbklubben.

Just as in Sugo Flying Dutchman Development, sister team to FDR, had a great race. They finished 6th and 7th with Alexander Lauritzen and Yuri Braham behind the wheels of their Audi R8's. Torrent Motorsports Reggie Blain finished 8th, only 1.8 seconds ahead of Water Blue Racings Dino Paulini. Bosse Jonasson in the second Gubbklubben Corvete rounded up the toip 10.

Jesper Taulborg won the 8th round of the STC season at Sugo, Japan. Early on in the race he fought with Gubbklubbens Robin Johansson but the Swede went off track and received a stop&go. Instead it was the sister team of Flying Dutchman Racing, FDD's Yuri Braham who finished 2nd.

Johansson managed to clinch 3rd in the end but only a few seconds ahead of WBR's Dino Paolini. Paolini was then seven seconds ahead of Alexandre Caetano (ABR). Wesley Hartog (FDD) finished 6th fighting off Daniel Beck of Gubbklubben. Kane Lasky for Torrent Motorsports managed to just fend off Fortunato Fiorito of Corse Online for 8th. Only .2 of a second seperated the two. The Black Rebels driver Kevin Ledoux rounded up the top 10.

Water Blue Racing took its first ever STC race win at Donington Park when Dinca Andrei drove his Pagani Zonda to victory by over 15 seconds ahead of Flying Dutchman driver Jesper Taulborg. The race was once again plagued with showers and made it tricky for the drivers. Robin Johansson (GBK), who lead the race, tryed to avoid spinning cars and crashed into the barriers ending his race. Taulborg finished just infront of FlatOut driver Ben Tusting. This result ended a long winning streak for the FlatOut team on this track.

Fourth went to the second FDR driver of the day, Martijn van Bommel. Despite Johanssons crash Gubbklubben had a decent race with Daniel Beck in 5th. Torrent Motorsports had a good race with Reggie Blain behind the wheels of one of their Gumpert Apollo's. He finished a couple of seconds behind Beck in 6th.

Nicola Dorigatti for Corse Online finished 7th as the last car on the leading lap. 8th went to Erling Bøhmer for Gubbklubbens sister team Gubbklubben UD. Adam Shaw (FlatOut) finished 9th, less than a second ahead of The Black Rebels driver Andreas Löffler.

Robin Johanson scored first win for his team, Gubblubben, in a fantastic performance beating both Flatout Racing cars driven by Mikko Korkiakoski and Ben "Poke Man" Tusting on track in one of the most brilliant racing seen this season. Both Flatout cars scored a big bunch of points for their team aswell with a P2 and P3.

The leading team, Flying Dutchman Racing had a bit less of luck this time after Martijn Van Bommel blewed his engine with a big part of the race gone, so just Jesper Taulborg scored important points for the team ending in P4.

Great result aswell for The Black Rebels who ended their race in a great P6 and P7 with Gregory Degreef and Andreas Löffler doing a great job for the black and yellow team.

Alexandre Caetano from ABRacing had some intense racing aswell, even leading the event for some laps, followed by Dino Paolini from Water Blue Racing.

Completing the Top 10 we have both Torrent Motorsports car who made a good result aswell for the team having Kane Lasky and Reggie Blain in P9 and P10 respectively.

The season is becoming more and more interesting with the Top 3 teams in just 9 points. Do not miss next round!

Flying Dutchman Racing had a terrific race at a rain hit round 2 at Paul Ricard. The race started in damp conditions but was soon hit by a heavy shower. A shower that would be of great importance to the outcome of the race. Göran Johansson, the pole sitter, for Gubbklubben came in for wet tyres while both the FDR cars, driven by Hugo Hekkenberg and Jakob de Boer, changed to dry tyres again. When the track later dryed the two Duthmen had a great advantage and Hekkenberg could win quite comfortably in the end with de Boer in 2nd. Johansson had to settle for 3rd.

One team that really needed pointe were The Black Rebels after not showing up for the first race. Gregory Degreef made sure that happened and finished in a fine 4th. Though the very last turn could have made it a day to forget as he spun. But Daniel Beck in the second Gubbklubben Corvette was a little too far behind to capitalise on that and finished 5th.

Yuri Braham (FDD) had an eventfull beginning to the race after starting far down the order but managed to climb his way to 6th. Tiago Orfao (ABR) just beat FlatOut's David Clark for 7th. Nathan Aljoe (also FlatOut) and Ethan Bass (FDD) rounded up top 10.

The GameRacer FlatOut team continued where they left off last season when STC began its Black Cup on Thursday. Just as the season finale last time around the series were back at Spa-Francorchamps with the reigning champions on form. Mikko Korkiakoski won the race in his Koenigsegg CCGT, 13 seconds ahead of Gubbklubbens Göran Johansson. The race were tight in beginning but in the end there were no real fight for the top positions as Tyler Scurlock, Flying Dutchman Racing, finished 3rd a further 20 seconds back.

Water Blue Racing had its best result so far in STC as Dino Paolini crossed the line 4th in his Pagani Zonda. Newcomers ABRacing had a great first performance with Alexandre Caetano finishing 5th.

The series will continue at Paul Ricard in a fortnights time.

FDR & FDDr Spokesmen INTERVIEW!

Hello from the warmy Ibiza,

we had to move there in order to meet the FDR guys, Hugo Hekkenberg and Yuri Braham, as they where on his hollydays. After making some room in the hotel terrace, and asking the nice ladyes to "move over" as our BFR mates would have done we finally got a nice seat with magnificents views over the city and the mediterraneum.

OK, so the first question was for Hugo Hekkenberg.

DG: So Hugo, why FDDr have been created, and what´s the team aim for the upcomig season?
HH: FDD stands for Flying Dutchman Development. The team has arisen from the FDR and FCR team that we merged together after last STC season. All the top notch drivers will drive under the flag of the FDR team is the upcoming STC season. To give all the FDR drivers a change to get behind the wheel in STC (or any other league) we decided to build a second team, the FDD team. In this team there is room for drivers that can drive a simgame, but just can't get on that podium. The aliens help the midfield runners to a higher level, that's the goal. How do you make a setup and what is the best strategy to finish a race? Familiar questions for a seasoned simracer, but o so difficult for a newbie. The FDD team is the ideal step to become a better driver and to be a part of the FDR group.

Time for Yuri Braham, preparing himself to answer my question after a loooong drink on a HUGE and cold beer. Spanish Estrella Levante beer.

DG: So Yuri, could you please let us know about both teams goals for the last season in the current sim?
YB: The goal for the FDR team in this STC season is the same as last season, a spot on the podium. For this year we have set up a practice server and all the times that we driver there will be stored and shown on our new website www.FDR-team.com . The goal for the FDD team is to finish all the races and get as high in the ranking as possible. Less pressure, but just as competitive as the FDR team.

DG: Guys in order to finish the interview and let you enjoy your sunny days, one last question. Who you think will be your maximum competitor in the series?
YB & HH: FDD's biggest competitors? All the teams on the grid. And for the FDR team we think we will meet the Gubbklubben & FOC a lot, but the team every team shoud fear and be really scared of and with the real potential to win this season will be TBR in our opinion. (* Last sentence subliminaly edited by the reporter).

We wish all the teams good luck and we hope to have some good battles on the track.

See ya,

Hugo and Yuri

From teh STC Staff we really want to thank Hugo and Yuri his words and the break time in their hollydays period. More interviews to come!
