Quali did not go well for me, I was running consistent low 49s in practice and had broken the 48 barrier earlier on our server, just one bad line out of turn 5 and pole was gone and I knew it, was hard to concentrate after that, but held together for 2nd on the grid.Race overall was ok, was pretty disapointed to let Rami through at T1, really wanted to try and stick with Roland. Once that happened I just decided to make my fuel advantage count as I stared with 100l and I knew the porsche was better on fuel than the bmws. Unfortunately Roland and Rami pitted earlier than expected, not wanting to loose out I followed them in, but had no time to adjust my fuel after the extended formation laps. Also was in such a rush forgot to hit confirm for a few seconds. That was my biggest mistake of the race, had I not made that mistake I should have been out of the pits at least ahead of Rami. After the pits I was in soo much traffic and it really never cleared for the whole race, made it interesting but I can't remember one lap without traffic. Fredrik was close with me for a while but I managed to inch away from him through the traffic, then at the dyingg stages of the race Rami made a mistake and gifted me 2nd place. Sorry that happened for you Rami, it hurts loosing places like that at the end. So 2nd, not the race I wanted but a good result for the team, good points, climbed another spot on the leader board, incidently after tech problems in race 1 and no points we've climbed from last to fourth, so I'm proud of our team for really fighting back through the middle part of the season. |
