Big news and changes for the current Black Cup 2008, and some more to the upcoming 2009 seasons, Blue Cup and Black Cup. Some more will be announced at the start of the series but at the moment these are the most important ones.

After asking all the team spoke men and receive a very positive feedback we have decided to shorten the first season from 8 to 6 events because of the schedule.  From that point, all the series will be 6 races per class, and to future seasons only the top six teams will have right to have a home GP.

As main news, the series name have been changed since we are racing already with one team from United States, and maybe another joins in a non distant future, and European Team Challenge don´t seem to make justice, so it will be European Team Challenge anymore to become into… The Game Hoster´s Sim Racing Team Challenge (SRTC)

As new features for the upcoming seasons, I will stress 3 points, starting with the Starting procedure, that will be changed from standing start to a “manual rolling start”  following the human drived Safety Car. The full explanation about the starting procedure is explained in the “Format & Rules” section at the new site.

The second change is the addition of some add on cars specially modified by the mod authors to fit in the GT Pro and GT Sport classes, to grant the variety of cars in the grid. We have contacted the creators to clone the physics of the original GTR Evolution cars in the Add On cars, so we are 100% sure the performance is ok with the class. Porsche, Ferrari, Maserati and Lamborghini will be included.

As third point a driver participation limit have been added in the rules, so now, the same driver can only start 4 races in ETC and only 2 in the same class. Also the race days have been changed, now there will be only one race per week, GT Sport and GT Pro in the same circuit in 2 consecutive weeks, this way until complete the 6 races per class schedule.

As you can see there are no important changes in the series, but with your help we have managed to find a better format to keep on racing together and do this champ even better. This was a summary, but the complete rules can be read in the new site “Team´s Corner”.

As last point I would like to show you the new website, with all the features we have considered as important for the teams and visitors. In our attempt to place the series in the place it deserves.
We really hope you like it.
