The celebrations followed GMT-DHR STC championship triumph, the UK based team has now wrapped up the 2009 Blue Cup championship in the last round at the Norwegian track of Mo I Rana, home of Blue Flag Racing.

GMT-DHR only needed one of their two Aston Martin to finish in the Artic Raceway top three to seal the championship, a feat duly achieved when Vincen Staal crossed the line second to TBR's David Greco in GT Pro race – putting the UK squad an unmatchable 44-points clear of nearest rival Roaring Pipes Maniacs.

GMT-DHR has now won the second Blue Cup edition, first with GTs.

Despite the battle for the championship, this last race was full of action and accidents, almost all drivers had a serious crash during the 90 minutes but finally was David Greco who performed a stunning last third of the race to claim clear win with a 17 sec difference over Staal, and 26 over Fredrik Tackman, that showed with his 3rd place that DMSv is a serious contender for next season.
