The 2010 Blue Cup champions Danielsson Motorsport Virtual has decided to quit STC just a month beofre the Black Cup starts. This means that the last three seasons champions have left the series during the summer break (DHR SimCraft left earlier in the summer).

Down below is a statement from DMSv leader John Westerlund.

"We are sorry for the late notice but we have had a lot of discussions inside the team and unfortunately there is not the necessary enthusiasm to warrant another season in STC.

The 2010 fall season we are going to give iRacing our focus instead.

We have really enjoyed the racing and the camaraderie and wish you all the best in the future of STC. Who knows, with a different sim and/or a different format we might come knocking on you door again some day!"

STC boss David García says it is really sad to see them leave and if STC wouldn't be in as strong position as it is moves like this can be devestating for the league.

"We have already a replacement for both DMSv teams in the STC waiting list, but if we had been another league with less status these drop outs would have killed us. I consider us very lucky having a waiting list of 5 teams already (now only one)."

STC wishes DMSv the best for the future and hope to see them back sometime in the near future.
