Peter Duivelaar has been handed a 60 second penalty for his start incident in the season opener. Duivelaar hit pole sitter Mikko Korkiakoski into turn one, sending them both off track and losing places. Korkiakoski still managed to win the race but the WAR representants voted on a harsh penalty for the dutchman. Bryan Stark in the other Gameracers FOR car will now get the final podium place while Hugo Hekkenberg (FDR) moves up to 4th, ahead of Duivelaar.

Another driver that has suffered a post race penalty is Michael Braeutigam, Motor AG Motorsports. He hit David Clark halfway through the first lap. Braeutigam however ended his race on lap 14 due to suspension damage and his 30 second penalty is more of an academic matter.
